Last night, Bill Condon's 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2' swept the 2013 Golden Raspberries, taking home seven "awards" including Worst Picture and Worst Director. The 'Twilight' films have always been a favorite at the annual celebration of bad cinema and it's obvious that they wanted to send the beloved/mocked franchise out in style. Still, we can't help but wonder...is it time to completely retool the Razzies?

As silly as the 'Twilight' franchise is (and even its most ardent fans have to know that it can get pretty silly), none of the five film are the worst released in their respective years. It's not even close. Even at their worst, they have been merely bad, not bottom of the barrel. Heck, Bill Condon's final two entries were made with too much skill and self-awareness to be considered the worst films of the year. The Razzies giving all of these anti-awards to 'Twilight' while ignoring the true bottom feeders of last year is like listening to a person who only sees major releases list off the worst movies of the year. Any active filmgoer knows that there were far, far worse films released in 2012 than the last 'Twilight' movie.

If the Golden Raspberries have to exist, why don't they work to shine a spotlight on atrocious rip-offs like 'The Devil Inside' instead of mocking competent franchises or kicking failed but competent blockbusters while they're down? The basic concept of an awards show for bad movies stopped being funny a decade ago. It's time to evolve or die.

Anyway, you can check out the nominees and the winners below. It's pretty boring because 'Twilight' "won" most of them.
