Showtime’s Twin Peaks managed to keep reasonably opaque through three years of production, and even its first eight episodes, but can it survive Comic-Con? We’ll find out, as David Lynch’s cryptic mystery takes the main stage for its own 2017 panel; itself already impossible to decipher.

Deadline broke word that the one-time obscure cosplay favorite will make its official Comic-Con debut at San Diego in the coming weeks, albeit with as frustratingly few confirmed details as the revival itself. Showtime evidently sprung for Hall H placement Friday, July 21 at 2:45 P.M. (between Game of Thrones and Preacher), though no details were provided of talent in attendance.

UPDATE: Showtime has confirmed the above panel time with guests Kyle MacLachlan, Tim Roth, Dana Ashbrook, Kimmy Robertson, Everett McGill, Matthew Lillard, James Marshall, Don Murray and Naomi Watts. LOST and The Leftovers boss Damon Lindelof will moderate, while that night at 10:00 P.M. will see an early screening of the eleventh episode in Room 6A.

Granted, this might not be the first time Deadline misreported Twin Peaks’ presence at a major trade event, though its ongoing run and geek-friendly cast certainly fit Comic-Con. Kyle MacLachlan would seem a likely guess, not to mention X-Files star David Duchovny or any of the other 215 cast members, including David Lynch himself. Should the creator take part, boy, is that going to be an awkward Q&A line.

We’ll see if Showtime confirms Twin Peaks’ Comic-Con 2017 presence (they tend not to confirm much), so stay tuned for more on the revival and San Diego madness in the meantime.
