No one knows how they did it, but the Nazis not only won the second World War in Wolfenstein: The New Order, but they've absolutely dominated the world since winning. Now it's up to one man to find out just how the Third Reich was able to do what it did, and attempt to put things right.

The trailer above does tease a bit of gameplay, but is mostly about showing off how different the world has become during the 1960s as a result of the Nazi victory. It's an easy trick to replace iconic moments and landmarks with startling imagery, but that doesn't make it any less effective.

As you can see though, once protagonist BJ Blazkowicz is finally allowed to cut free, and start mowing down the enemies, the fun really begins. There's a lot of bold new design ideas that re pretty impressive, and should help make this Wolfenstein stand out even more from its predecessors. Hopefully the early returns from E3 are good, and we can start getting excited for another reimagined classic.
