Just a couple of months ago, we found out that ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ was adding some new mutants to the cast—well, not exactly new, but they are looking to cast younger versions of familiar faces. Namely, Scott Summers (aka Cyclops) and Jean Grey. Several names were in the mix, including Elle Fanning and Chloe Moretz, and today brings news of even more young stars being considered for the roles.

Although we’ve known that ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ is going to keep things more focused on the ‘First Class’ cast, that doesn’t mean that the film won’t still include some of the more prominent mutant characters, like Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine (obviously), and some of your other faves, like Scott Summers, Jean Grey, and Storm. And while we may still see those familiar faces, Fox is looking to cast the younger versions of these characters.

Latino Review reports that Fox is considering Saoirse Ronan and ‘Game of Thrones’ star Sophie Turner for the role of young Jean Grey, played in the franchise by Famke Janssen. It was previously reported that Elle Fanning and Chloe Moretz were in the mix, but at that time, Fanning wasn’t sure she even wanted the offer, and it now appears that Moretz has declined.

For the younger version of James Marsden’s Cyclops, the studio is looking at some less familiar names: Tye Sheridan, Taron Edgerton, and Jamie Blackley. Sheridan is known for his roles in ‘Mud’ and ‘Joe,’ while Edgerton stars in the upcoming ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service,’ and Blackley appeared alongside Moretz in ‘If I Stay.’ Fox is also casting for the younger version of Halle Berry’s Storm, and right now they’re considering Alexandra Shipp, who starred in Lifetime’s Aaliyah biopic, and Zendaya Coleman, who has appeared on several TV series, including ‘Shake It Up’ and ‘Zapped.’

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ also recently cast Oscar Isaac as the titular villain Apocalypse, and hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
