AMC's 'The Walking Dead' might not shamble out new episodes until October, but Amazon's forthcoming pilot for 'Zombieland' could prove to be exactly the fix we need. The new series pilot adapting the 2009 film with an all-new cast will likely drop in April, before deciding on a series pickup for November, but how would you like an all-new look at the titular ghouls of the 'Zombieland' TV series? Nut up, shut up and get inside!

Though we've yet to see any official footage from the effort, Amazon's forthcoming 'Zombieland' TV series certainly gets our blood pumping with each new chunk released. The latest, following the official poster for the series, is Entertainment Weekly's new shot of 'Zombieland's' ghoulish undead, or in this case a ghoulish grannie.

As previously stated, the series picks up two weeks after the events of the 2009 film, and features a cast comprised of Kirk Ward as Tallahassee, Maiara Walsh as Wichita, Tyler Ross as Columbus, and Izabela Vodovic as Little Rock. Original ‘Zombieland’ writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick wrote the pilot and will executive produce with the movie’s producer, Gavin Polone. Amazon will make the pilot episode available in April, and gauge fan response to decide whether or not to take the show to series for 12 episodes beginning in November.

“Their mission in the pilot is to find some companionship,” said Reese to EW. “They befriend someone who’s halfway across the country, and they also are told of a community that exists on the Eastern seaboard, so it’s a combination of things that push them East.”
