By the gods! Any 'Arrow' fan well knows that the CW drama series adaptation of DC Comics' Green Arrow has grown by leaps and bounds in its first season, strongly aided by the addition of 'Spartacus: War of the Damned' star Manu Bennett as DC character Slade Wilson. Now, as 'Arrow' prepares its march toward its first season finale with tonight's "The Huntress Returns," Bennett has officially been confirmed for a series regular in season 2. Find out the latest on 'Arrow' season 2 inside!

'Spartacus: War of the Damned' has only three episodes remaining in the series, but series star Manu Bennett has already lined up his next regular gig. Adding to his recurring role as DC character Slade Wilson on The CW's 'Arrow,' Bennett will officially join the cast as a series regular in season 2, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Bennett joins the ascension of fellow season 1 guest stars Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoake) and Colton Haynes (Roy Harper) as regulars for season 2, though thus far Bennett's character Slade Wilson has only appeared in flashbacks to Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell)'s island days. Producers have remained mum if Wilson will become the DC character Deathstroke of his namesake, previously dissociating Bennett's character from the black and orange-masked figure, but fans have no doubt speculated on the presence of his arrow-torn mask seen in the series' pilot episode.

Bennett will return for tonight's "The Huntress Returns" along with the rest of the 'Arrow' cast, but what say you? Are you excited to see that Crixus Manu Bennett will return full time in season 2? Could Slade Wilson/Deathstroke appear in the present day? Give us your thoughts on 'Arrow' seasons' 1 and 2 in the comments!
