We've been keeping our eyes on A&E's forthcoming 'Psycho' prequel TV series 'Bates Motel,' which to date has assembled an impressive cast and put together some seriously creepy teasers of its 2013 premiere. That said, we never thought we'd have a chance to actually take part in the show! Showrunner Carlton Cuse has announced a new contest that lets fans get their 'Psycho' on, designing the title sequence to be featured in the show itself! Will you be the one to design the look of 'Bates Motel'?

Before we check into the 'Bates Motel,' A&E and showrunner Carlton Cuse want fans to get in on the action. Via The Hollywood Reporter, we've learned that the series will hold a contest for fans to design a 15-second title sequence to be featured in the series, one which best evokes the feel of the contemporary 'Psycho' prequel show.

"We want to give fans the chance to participate in the show,” says Cuse. "We're looking for an awesome 15-second title sequence that captures the feel of 'Bates Motel' -- not as a slasher/horror show, but as a complex, character-based thriller."

Fans have until January 3 to submit video entries to the 'Bates Motel' Facebook page, to be reviewed and chosen by Cuse himself. To date, the Freddie Highmore/Vera Farmiga-fronted series chronicling 'Psycho' killer Norman Bates' formative years has yet to set an official premiere date.

Check out Cuse's video announcement of the 'Bates Motel' contest in the video below, and tell us if you'll watch the new series in the comments!
