Supernatural horror is all the rage these days, and Robert Kirkman’s Cinemax Outcast has a bit of work ahead to distinguish itself from the similar aesthetic of AMC’s Preacher. Thankfully, the latest trailer offers a bit more visual flair amid the scares, as does a brand new poster.

Entertainment Weekly debuted the latest trailer for Robert Kirkman’s comic-adapted series, itself set for a June 3 premiere. The new footage sees Patrick Fugit’s Kyle Barnes taking a bit more agency against the rise in possessions, while the latest poster also gives a hint of some supernatural CG evil:

Adapted from Skybound comics for 10 episodes, Cinemax’s Outcast features Gone Girl star Patrick Fugit in the role of Kyle Barnes, a young man plagued by possession since childhood. Kyle sets out to find answers, in the process uncovering something that could end all life on Earth as we know it.

Also among the cast is Philip Glenister in the hard-drinking, hard-gambling role of Reverend Anderson, a West Virginian evangelical preacher who believes himself soldier in God’s holy war against evil, as well as Annabelle star Gabriel Bateman as a young boy who appears to be possessed by a demon and has a mysterious connection to Kyle. The Guest and You’re Next helmer Adam Wingard will directed the pilot episode.

The series also recently added Star Trek vet Brent Spiner, The Office alum David Denman, Melinda McGraw, Twin Peaks alum Grace Zabriskie, The Shield vet Catherine Dent and The Americans baddie Lee Tergesen.
