A great many castings of The CW's forthcoming 'Arrow' spinoff 'The Flash,' has emerged, though we haven't yet got a pulse on the Scarlet Speedster's decidedly sci-fi new series. That all changes today, with our first look at former 'Glee' star Grant Gustin suited up in the 'Flash' costume, mask and all! Are you ready to meet the new Barry Allen?

The CW have released our first look at Gustin in the iconic red costume, though at least for now, we can only see the mask from the side, similar to the first reveal of 'Arrow''s hooded costume. From what we can tell, the design remains faithful to 'The Flash''s iconic look with a golden lightning bolt adorning each side of the mask, which extends out to cover Barry Allen's lower chin, with a maroon-ish tint overall.

Elsewhere, ‘The Flash’ has cast in known roles Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Candice Batton as Iris West, daughter to Jesse L. Martin’s Detective West, along with Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon, better known as DC character Vibe. ‘The Vampire Diaries‘ star Rick Cosnett will portray Central City Police transfer Detective Eddie Thawne, who likely corresponds to ‘Flash’ comic villain and time-traveler Eobard Thawne, better known as “Professor Zoom” or “Reverse Flash.”

Additionally, Danielle Panabaker will play Caitlin Snow, a highly intelligent bioengineering expert who lost her fiancé during an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs and is an incarnation of DC villain Killer Frost. Original 'Flash' star John Wesley Shipp has signed on to the 'Arrow' spinoff as well, though producers aren't divulging details of his role just yet.

Well, what do we think? Could the CW give us our best-looking live-action 'Flash' costume yet, even if the network opts not to pick up the series full time? Check out the charater's origin below, and tell us what you think of 'The Flash''s new threads in the comments!
