Just the other day, a number of 'Dexter' season 8 set photos surfaced featuring Deb and an unknown man that was believed to be 'Entourage' star Rhys Coiro. The pictures raised a few questions about Deb's arc in the coming season, premiering June 30 on Showtime, but now the network has made the 'Entourage' star's casting official. Coiro will indeed join 'Dexter' season 8, but what's his mysterious connection to Deb?

Recent 'Dexter' season 8 photos featured our beloved foul-mouthed Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) looking a bit less like herself than we're used to, while adding to the mystery was her mysterious gentleman companion, by all accounts looking to be 'Entourage' star Rhys Coiro. Now, Showtime has stepped in to confirm the rumors, adding that Coiro will portray a "tough bail jumper" that Deb sets her sights on tracking.

The two were observed to be more than a little close in the set photos, raising the question of how involved the characters will become, particularly after Deb's breakdown in season 7 finale "Surprise, Motherf---er!" Elsewhere, ‘Dexter’ season 8 will feature the cast additions of ‘The Walking Dead‘ star Nick Gomez as a hitman that comes to tangle with Deb, Charlotte Rampling as criminal profiling neuro-psychiatrist Dr. Evelyn Vogel, and ‘The Boondock Saints’ star Sean Patrick Flanery as ex-cop turned private-eye Jacob Elroy.

You can check out a few pictures of the pair on set below via SpoilerTV, and give us your predictions for Deb's arc for 'Dexter season 8 in the comments!
