Exclusive ‘From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series’ Photo: Santánico Pandemonium Will Get Your Blood Pumping!

Robert Rodriguez's original 1996 horror thriller 'From Dusk Till Dawn' gave new meaning to vampire bloodlust with Salma Hayek's iconic "Santánico Pandemonium," but now it's time for a new bloodsucking babe to steal the spotlight. Feast your eyes on Eiza González with our exclusive image of the new Santánico Pandemonium from El Rey's upcoming 'From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series'!

Primarily known for her Spanish telenovelas and singing career, González will first appear as the sultry Santánico Pandemonium when 'From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series' premieres on the El Rey network on March 11. Even better news for those attending SXSW, the pilot episode will screen on Saturday, March 8 at 4:30 P.M. in the Vimeo Theater, with Robert Rodriguez himself and much of the cast also in attendance.

Here's how El Rey describes its first 10-episode adaptation of 'From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series':

Based on the thrill-ride film, “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” is a supernatural crime saga centered around bank robber, Seth Gecko (Cotrona) and his violent, unpredictable brother, Richard “Richie” Gecko (Holtz), who are wanted by the FBI and Texas Rangers Earl McGraw (Johnson) and Freddie Gonzalez (Garcia) after a bank heist left several people dead.

While on an escape route to Mexico, Seth and Richie encounter former minister Jacob Fuller and his family who they take hostage.  Using the family RV to make a run for the Mexican border, chaos ensues when the group detours to a strip club that is unknowingly populated by vampires, and forces them to fight until dawn in order to get out alive.

The series deepens the tone of the film, adds new characters and backstories and expands the Mesoamerican mythology behind the vampires.

Also included among the cast are D.J. Cotrona (‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation‘) stepping into George Clooney‘s role as Seth Gecko, Zane Holtz (‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’) as Richie Gecko, Wilmer Valderrama, Jesse Garcia (‘Sons of Anarchy‘), Don Johnson (‘Django Unchained‘) as Sheriff Earl McGraw, Robert Patrick as Jacob Fuller, Madison Davenport (‘Save Me,’ ‘Shameless’) as Kate Fuller, and Brandon Soo Hoo (‘Ender’s Game‘) as Scott Fuller.
