Apart from, you know, everyone’s survival, Hannibal left us with a great Season 3 mystery in its closing tag of Bedelia (Gillian Anderson) accompanying the good Dr. Lecter on the lam. Now, the latest look at Season 3 of Bryan Fuller’s darkly delicious NBC drama teases that the “Bride of Hannibal” may not be such a kept woman, and may spill some blood of her own.

As debuted over at Buzzfeed, the new spot takes an Aquarius-tinged approach to the complicated relationship between Bedelia and Hannibal, as we see that Mads Mikkelsen‘s fallen angel considers Bedelia a wife of sorts. With that arrangement comes all the usual marriage tropes, having friends over for dinner, classy evenings out, and of course, holding a gun and threatening to murder one another.

‘You’re optimistic I won’t kill you.’

‘Not entirely.’

Most recently adding Zachary Quinto and True Detective‘s Glenn Fleshler as Cordell, personal physician to Mason Verger (Joe Anderson, replacing Michael Pitt), we also know of Hannibal Season 3 that Gillian Anderson has been upgraded to series regular. The Hobbit star Richard Armitage, True Blood vet Rutina Wesley and Nina Arianda will play Red Dragon characters Francis Dolarhyde, Reba McClane and Molly, respectively, while Raul Esparza will return to the role of Dr. Frederick Chilton, and Eddie Izzard could return to the role of the late Dr. Abel Gideon as well.

The new season will pick up sometime later with Hannibal and Bedelia’s new life on the lam, also incorporating such other literary Thomas Harris figures as Hannibal novel character Inspector Rinaldo Pazzi. Additionally, Batman vs. Superman and The Wolverine star Tao Okamoto has been confirmed to play the role of Chiyo, attendant to Hannibal’s “aunt” Lady Murasaki.

Hannibal Season 3 will premiere on June 4 (behind Anderson’s former/future X-Files co-star David Duchovny in NBC’s Aquarius), but check out the promo above, and start fearing for Bedelia’s safety.
