Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’: Skye Spotlight Rounds Out the Team

Yesterday’s latest Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘ promos gave us increased spotlights on both our beloved Agent Coulson and new “Rising Tide” super-hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet), though the feature lacked a bit for new information. Now, the latest “Level 7 ” profile on our ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ has hit the web, introducing what may be the most Whedon-y character yet.

As with previous Level 7 featurettes highlighting Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), Melinda May (Ming-Na), Leo Fitz (Iain de Caestecker) and Gemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), the latest ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ spot goes in-depth behind the scenes with Chloe Bennet (‘Nashville‘) to introduce us to the only member of Coulson’s team not yet a sanctioned member of the Marvel comics organization. Along the way, we’ll see her playful relationship with Agent Ward, and see Agent Coulson pulling off some suspiciously sweet moves in the field.

While we wait for the September 24 premiere, Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ features a cast that also includes ‘Avengers‘ star Cobie Smulders returning as Maria Hill, along with ‘Firefly‘ vet Ron Glass in a mysterious role. Nick Fury himself, Samuel L. Jacksonpreviously stated that he expected to be involved with the show in some small capacity, while ‘Ghost Whisperer’ vet David Conrad has joined in an unknown part and both Tom Hiddleston and Sam Rockwell are game to reprise their roles of Loki and Justin Hammer, by their own word.

Presumably, we’ll await Agent Coulson himself to have his own Level 7 access featurette, which may offer up some explanation or insight into how it is Phil seems so spry for an older, deader fellow. In the mean time, meet Skye above and tell us what you’re most excited for from ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ in the comments!
