In less than a week, the highly anticipated 'Man of Steel' will finally hit theaters and we'll all get a chance to see Henry Cavill's Superman in action. However, film fans have another reason to be excited for Zack Snyder's take on the world's most famous superhero -- the great character actor Michael Shannon is playing the role of General Zod! A new clip from the film gives us a glimpse of his performance, as well as a good look at Russell Crowe's Jor-El.

Everything we see from 'Man of Steel' only increases our anticipation for the epic return of Superman, but the latest featurette takes the cake. After this 13-minute look behind the scenes, our excitement for Zack Snyder's take on the greatest superhero of all time can barely be contained. Congratulations, Warner Bros. marketing team. The biggest problem facing 'Man of Steel' from the get-go was how to make Superman relatable to an audience who likes their heroes flawed and human. How can you possibly relate to a near-invincible being who can fly and shoot lasers out of his eyes? Simple: you ground him in the real world and let the audience see him struggle with his enormous powers. But don't take our word for it -- an excellent new featurette goes into a little more detail.

What do 'Man of Steel' and 'Pacific Rim' have in common? Well, they're both two of the most anticipated films of the summer, they're both geek bait of the highest order, they're both directed by extremely talented directors with unique visual styles and they're both from Warner Bros., who may very well come out of this season as the biggest winner in Hollywood. New action-packed TV-spots from both films do nothing to temper our excitement.
