Disney's forthcoming animated 'Star Wars Rebels' will see a "Spark of the Rebellion" officially premiering this Friday on the Disney Channel (or right now, online!), but it may be a few weeks yet before the action really takes off on its proper Disney XD home. To wit, catch a brand-new clip beyond the premiere as Kanan takes on the villainous Inquisitor!

Last week saw upcoming Disney XD animated series 'Star Wars Rebels' debuting the first 7 minutes of its fall premiere online, but fans won't have to wait that long for a fresh take on the new 'Star Wars' saga set between trilogies. Check out a brand-new look at 'Star Wars Rebels' with an online short showing the crew of the starship Ghost as they take on a squadron of Imperial TIE fighters!
The first thing you notice about Freddie Prinze Jr. is his almost manic ability to make analogies between almost any subject and professional wrestling. (And considering that Prinze has worked on and off for WWE over the last few years, this wasn't necessarily surprising.) Prinze is at San Diego Comic-Con in support of 'Star Wars Rebels,' the new animated series that takes place between 'Revenge of the Sith' and the original 'Star Wars.' Prinze plays Kanan, a Jedi who survived 'Revenge of the Sith' who hides his Jedi powers so as to not draw attention to himself.
It's a bit early to imagine that 'Star Wars 7' would have any real place at Comic-Con 2014 (we're already having night terrors about Hall H in 2015), but the Force will be strong with 'Star Wars Rebels' this summer. Find out what to expect from the full Comic-Con 2014 panel for Disney XD's new 'Star Wars' animated series, debuting later this year!
As part of the American International Toy Fair going on in New York City, LEGO invited press to the Javitz Center, known for housing NY Comic-Con, to preview its upcoming toy lines. Everything from LEGO DUPLO to the 'LEGO Movie' line was introduced in a big reveal of 246 sets. While we've already detailed one of the coming debuts for 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' here's just some of what was shown from the coming 30th anniversary set for 'Ghostbusters,' the new 'Star Wars Rebels' figures and more.
Upcoming 'Star Wars' animated series 'Star Wars Rebels' remained secretive even through its first character reveal, but at long last we have our first major protagonist, Jedi, and voice actor to boot. Prepare to join the 'Star Wars Rebels' with newly-confirmed voice actor Freddie Prinze Jr., giving life to the ponytail-wearing "cowboy" Jedi knight, Kanan!
It's become increasingly difficult to separate truth from rumor in the ongoing revamp of the 'Star Wars' franchise, as every day seems to bring new reports of leading actors or fan-favorite characters slated to join the new film trilogy. If nothing else, however, confirmed animated series 'Star Wars Rebels' has made new strides in shoring up a voice cast, from the likes of Freddie Prinze Jr. and 'The Butler' star David Oyelowo, himself previously rumored for a role in the films.
The cast and creators of FOX's long-running procedural 'Bones' proved surprisingly liberal with spoilers for the coming season at Comic-Con 2013, but it seems the David Boreanaz/Emily Deschanel-fronted drama had a few more surprises to dig up. Freddie Prinze Jr. will make a guest appearance on the show in the coming season, with a connection to Seeley Booth that may keep him coming back for additional episodes.
