Not only has the first photo of Sagal’s Bastard Executioner character emerged, but so too will FX bring The Bastard Executioner to Anarchy’s old slot at Comic-Con 2015.

Sons of Anarchy may have taken its final ride, but series creator Kurt Sutter is far from finished with FX. The network has officially handed down a series order to medieval drama The Bastard Executioner, chopping off the first bloody photo in the process.

Not only will Katey Sagal lead the cast, but so too will True Blood star Stephen Moyer, several newcomers, Sutter himself, and even The Americans lead Matthew Rhys.
Kurt Sutter’s FX biker opus ‘Sons of Anarchy‘ will rev its last within a few weeks time, but while the potential prequel cools its heels, work continues on Sutter’s medieval FX followup ‘The Bastard Executioner.’ And whatever Gemma Teller’s ultimate fate may be, we can expect to see Katey Sagal right beside her husband once more with a role in the new series.
