Earlier today ‘The Flash’ threw out a second Weather Wizard in the form of ‘Spartacus’ star Liam McIntyre, but why let the bringer of rain have all the fun? The latest 2015 trailer for ‘The Flash’’s return introduces ‘Smash’ star Andy Mientus as DC’s villainous Pied Piper, along with new looks at ‘Prison Break’-ing baddies Captain Cold and Heat Wave.

Barry still has “The Man in the Yellow Suit“ to catch when ‘The Flash’ resumes its inaugural season on January 20, but the scarlet speedster will have plenty to keep him occupied in Central City. In addition to the “Revenge of the Rogues” two-fer pairing of Captain Cold and Heat Wave (Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell), the latest cheekily-titled “Speeding Bullet” trailer introduces sonic baddie Pied Piper, in this incarnation Dr. Wells’ disgruntled and deafened protege Hartley Rathaway. And hey, Britne Oldford! Why not?

So reads ‘The Flash’'s official description of its January 20 return, “Revenge of the Rogues”:

WENTWORTH MILLER AND DOMINIC PURCELL (“PRISON BREAK”) TEAM UP AGAIN AS CAPTAIN COLD AND HEAT WAVE CHALLENGE THE FLASH TO AN EPIC BATTLE

Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) returns to Central City with a new hotheaded partner in tow – Mick Rory AKA Heat Wave (guest star Dominic Purcell). The duo plan to steal a multi-million dollar painting, but Cold has another agenda while in town – to set a trap for The Flash. Snart and Mick kidnap someone close to The Flash and threaten to kill them unless The Flash shows up for a battle of fire and ice. Barry tells Joe (Jesse L. Martin) he isn’t sure he should take on Snart again after the casualties that happened the last time they fought.

Meanwhile, Barry asks Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) to help him double his training efforts so he’s ready for the Reverse Flash when he returns to Central City. Iris (Candice Patton) deals with the aftermath of Barry’s confession, and Cisco makes the CCPD a new shield.

As if that weren’t enough fun for ‘The Flash,’ additional weeks will see ‘Tomorrow People’ star Peyton List portraying Captain Cold’s sister, and even the original 1990 series Trickster, Mark Hamill himself reprising his role for a new generation (wouldn’t be the first time).

You can see for yourself how much faster than a speeding bullet ‘Flash’ proves in the villainous trailer above, and tell us in the comments what you want to see when the CW drama makes its speedy return!
