CW's 'The Flash' Introduces S.T.A.R. Labs, Vibe and Killer Frost in New PreviewKevin Fitzpatrick |
Excitement over The CW's forthcoming 'Arrow' spinoff 'The Flash' has slowed down a bit since the release of the full five-minute trailer, but while we wait for the fall premiere, why not get to know the supporting cast? Meet Tom Cavanagh's Harrison Wells, Danielle Panabaker's Caitlin Snow, and Carlos Valdes' Cisco Ramon in a new S.T.A.R. Labs featurette for 'The Flash'!
As explained by Cavanagh and revealed in new footage from 'The Flash' pilot, Grant Gustin's Barry Allen will awaken some months after being struck by lightning to find Valdes' Cisco Ramon and Panabaker's Caitlin Snow taking care of him, overseen by the enigmatic and wheelchair-bound Dr. Harrison Wells. Once Barry's up and about, however, the team sets about discovering the extent of his incredible abilities and ultimately join Team Flash as a support group.
Of course, DC Comics fans will recognize that Cisco Ramon is the alter-ego of comic superhero Vibe, while Caitlin Snow represents an incarnation of the villainous Killer Frost, something sure to pop up eventually over the course of the series. And call us crazy, but Harrison Wells seems to have his own shifty agenda, as well, judging by what we've seen of him in the footage.
Greenlit for (at least) 13 episodes, ‘The Flash’ also cast Candice Batton as Iris West, daughter to Jesse L. Martin’s Detective West, along with ‘The Vampire Diaries‘ star Rick Cosnett as Central City Police transfer Detective Eddie Thawne, and original 'Flash' star John Wesley Shipp as Barry's father Henry Allen.
We'll bring you the latest on 'The Flash' as it arrives, but in the meantime, get to know the S.T.A.R. Labs crew in the preview above, and tell us what you want to see from The CW's take on the fastest man alive this fall!
