The Walking Dead proved with Sunday’s penultimate Season 5 installment that Alexandria’s walls do little to keep out the drama, but will next Sunday’s finale see attempts to “Conquer” on either side? AMC has released the first official clip from next week’s installment, and Rick’s group isn’t looking particularly welcome after the latest bloodbath.

Our first look at next Sunday’s Season 5 finale sees Maggie appealing to Deanna and Reggie on Rick's behalf, after his “Try” at peacefully mediating the domestic disputes between Alexandria surgeon Pete and his wife Jessie. Deanna isn’t ignorant of the value Rick’s group has brought to the isolated community, but will exile prove a viable option once Aaron and Daryl discover the source of all those mysterious “W” victims?

We’ll grant AMC a pass on vagary toward the finale, but so reads The Walking Dead’s official description of next Sunday’s Season 5 closer “Conquer”:

Daryl finds trouble while on a run; Rick and the group feel like outsiders in Alexandria, where trouble approaches the gates.

We’ve seen a number of theories circulating as to the nature of Alexandria’s upcoming “trouble,” but with only one (90-minute) episode left before Season 6, might we be looking at a glimpse of the next Governor? Preview The Walking Dead’s Season 5 finale “Conquer” by the clip above, and stay tuned for the latest on AMC’s monster smash!
