This Sunday, WGN America will take its first leap into original scripted programming with the premiere of witchy new period drama 'Salem,' focusing on the titular 17th century witch hunts with a cast that includes the likes of Shane West ('Nikita'), Janet Montgomery ('Made in Jersey'), and Seth Gabel ('Arrow'). We've seen the horrors for ourselves on the set, but check out the first full trailer for WGN's 'Salem' before this weekend's premiere!

The first full trailer for WGN's 'Salem' poses the idea that witches were indeed real during the infamous trials that saw multiple innocents accused, tortured and hanged, though they may have had more control over the panic than they let on. West stars as returning Salem son John Alden, who returns to find his former love Mary Sibley (Montgomery) presiding over the town as a powerful sorceress.

Created by '24' and 'Star Trek' producer Brannon Braga, WGN America's 'Salem' also stars the likes of 'Fringe' vet Seth Gabel as town preacher Cotton Mather, fellow 'Nikita' alum Xander Berkley as Magistrate Hale, Ashley Madekwe as the mysterious Tituba, Tamzin Merchant as Hale's daughter Anne, Elise Eberle as Mercy Lewis, and 'Mob City' star Iddo Goldberg' as Isaac Walton.

We'll have more from our time on the set of 'Salem' in the coming days, but in the meantime check out the freaky first full trailer for WGN America's new original drama, and tell us in the comments if you'll check out the April 20 premiere at 10:00 P.M.
