‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ Unleashes First Official Episode Description
We've been feeling a little haunted this week, not because we know that FX's 'American Horror Story: Asylum' is due to arrive in just a few weeks time on October 17, but mainly because it seems that Ryan Murphy's horror thriller has finally broken its long-standing tradition of issuing new teasers every day! Cryptic though they might have been, we grew mighty attached to those creepy little buggers, so what are we to do in their absence? Why, pour over the new episode description, of course!
The cat is nearly out of the institution, as 'American Horror Story: Asylum' prepares to make its official October 17 debut with premiere episode "Welcome to Briarcliff." We've already seen so many photos and teasers and character bits to tide us over, but now that press details are starting to leak what does FX say about the season's first episode?
Episode 1 – “Welcome to Briarcliff” (Airs October 17, 10:00 pm e/p) – Welcome to Briarcliff Manor, a notorious insane asylum home to the deranged serial killer, Bloody Face. Lurking in the shadows of this “sanctuary of healing” are terrifying evils that blur the boundaries between reality and insanity. Written by Tim Minear; directed by Bradley Buecker.
Well, that certainly isn't very much to go on, but it does paint a bit of a portrait of "Bloody Face" as a resident of the asylum, though whether he has an identity as an inmate or simply haunts the grounds in secret remains to be seen.
We're still eagerly anticipating the premiere, but what do you think? What spooky mysteries will the first episode of 'American Horror Story: Asylum' hold?
