Earlier this week, 'American Horror Story: Coven' watchers and Fleetwood Mac fans alike were astonished to learn that Misty Day's (Lily Rabe) obsession with singer Stevie Nicks would culminate in an appearance by the white witch herself. Now series creator Ryan Murphy has stepped up to reveal when and where we can expect the "Landslide" singer to bleat by.

Speaking to Entertianment Weekly, Murphy confirmed that the singer would portray herself in an episode to air after the winter break in 2014. Nicks had initially been forced to decline the appearance, given Fleetwood Mac's Europe touring dates, though Mick Fleetwood's cancer put the tour dates on hold, and somewhat sadly freed Nicks up for an 'American Horror Story' cameo.

It’s part of Fiona’s ruse in that Fiona is trying to get the true Supreme to reveal herself because she needs to stay alive. So she tells Misty Day that the Supreme gets so many great things in life, like tickets to the Oscars and Met Ball tickets. So she brings Stevie Nicks in as a gift to Misty to prove to her that if she exhibits more power she’ll get that and more. Then the other girls come home and see Stevie and Misty singing and it starts them trying to move much quicker to prove that they are the Supreme.

Of course, this will mark the first occasion in which 'American Horror Story' actually tasks a famous figure with playing themselves, last night's "The Axeman Cometh" introducing Danny Huston as the famed killer of legend. Will 'Coven''s conjuring of Stevie Nicks prove organic to the story or pointless self-service? Check out next week's "The Dead" below, and give us your thoughts in the comments!
