Here’s How That ‘American Horror Story’ Crossover Season Will Work
It’s getting harder and harder to track Ryan Murphy’s ideas for future American Horror Story seasons, but one standout idea saw the first year’s Murder House crossing over with the Season 3 Coven. We won’t see said mashup in Season 7, but Murphy nonetheless reveals exactly what would bring the stories together, and how absurd Sarah Paulson’s workload would be.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Murphy hinted that we’d potentially see a Murder House character attending the Miss Robichaux Academy from American Horror Story: Coven, whose ending saw the school opening up to a benevolent new era under Cordelia Goode’s Supreme. Murphy also joked that Sarah Paulson would be playing a number of characters, even as her Murder House role of Billie Dean was somewhat limited:
It’s a character from season 1 that will be thrust into the world that you are left with at the end of Coven, which is sort of like the male/female/witch academy. And then all of those characters will intertwine, which is confusing because some of them are from seasons 1 and 3. Like, Sarah Paulson will probably be playing 18 characters.
One wonders if perhaps said Murder House character is none other than a grown-up Michael Harmon, whose sinister paranormal abilities would be a natural fit for Miss Robichaux’s. In either case, the crossover season won’t be the focus of Season 7, but potentially Seasons 8 and 9 beyond.
We’ll likely hear more as AHS gears up for Season 7, but who might be the major crossover character when Murder House meets Coven?
