Well, it finally happened. American Horror Story: Roanoke has reached the end of its 10-week run, and as promised, near every one of the characters we’ve come to know has died in the woods of Virginia. Next week’s finale looms, but more than one survivor will make a shocking return, including Sarah Paulson’s Asylum character Lana Winters in the first trailer.

You’re warned of current American Horror Story: Roanoke spoilers, but where Ryan Murphy already spilled the beans that Sarah Paulson’s Lana Winters would return, we now know that that Paulson’s Season 6 character didn’t make it. Instead, Adina Porter’s Lee Harris became the sole survivor of My Roanoke Nightmare Season 2, to say nothing of whatever entity might be possessing her.

Our first trailer for the tenth and final hour reveals not only Paulson’s return as her Asylum survivor, but also a few shades of Murphy’s People v. O.J. Simpson, as Lee understandably goes to trial for the bloodbath that occurred in the woods.

We’ll see if Season 6 offers any final surprises, but in the meantime, check out the American Horror Story crossover above, and stay tuned for even more tightening connections as we brace for Season 7.
