'American Horror Story' may not have a set cast or a uniform focus from season to season, but so far Ryan Murphy has definitely kept consistent about his favorite actors to work with. Just hours after season 1 star Taissa Farmiga was officially confirmed to join returning 'American Horror Story' and 'Asylum' stars Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, series creator Murphy has announced seasons 1 and 2 star Frances Conroy to return as well. See how 'American Horror Story' season 3 continues taking shape inside!

'American Horror Story' season 3 will likely remain a big question mark until its fall premiere, but at the very least the cast is starting to look increasingly familiar. Seasons 1 and 2 star Frances Conroy has once again signed on for the show's upcoming year, says Ryan Murphy over Twitter.

No details have yet been revealed of the role, as Conroy joins a season permeated by such 'American Horror Story' fixtures as Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and most recently returning season 1 star Taissa Farmiga. Conroy first appeared in the original season as Moira, the ghostly maid of the Harmon family’s supernatural home, while 'Asylum' saw the actress portraying a glamorous and kissy Angel of Death, as well as an inmate of the titular Briarcliff.

Murphy has revealed only select details of the FX drama’s third season, including that season 3 would have a love story focus akin to the one between Violet and Tate in season 1. The season will be set in modern day across several cities, occasionally dipping back into the past as the narrative requires. Murphy also previewed that Peters’ role will likely prove that of a “sobbing psychopath” once again, while Jessica Lange would be a “glamour cat leading lady” of sorts.

What say you? Are you excited to have yet another 'American Horror Story' alum return for season 3? Who will be the next familiar face joining the FX horror thriller?
