Just the other day, the 'Star Wars: Episode 7' cast was announced with one surprising name we hadn't heard rumored: mo-cap specialist Andy Serkis. The 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' and 'Lord of the Rings' actor will presumably be playing a new CGI 'Star Wars' character in the film, but before he starts on 'Episode 7' he'll be working on the other biggest movie of 2015: 'The Avengers 2'.

Both 'Avengers 2' and 'Star Wars: Episode 7' are filming in London, so while Serkis preps for his work on the new 'Star Wars' film, it seems he's spending some time on the 'Avengers' set. Mark Ruffalo tweeted this update to his followers:

While it doesn't seem like Serkis will be working on a new character for the film, we'll guess that he's there to help Ruffalo with his mo-cap performance as Hulk. Ruffalo performs all the Hulk actions on set wearing the mo-cap suit and while he was great in 'The Avengers,' he could always use some pointers from Serkis, who's considered the best in the business. There's the outside chance that Serkis is actually performing some of Hulk's motion capture, but considering how important Ruffalo's facial gestures are to creating Hulk, we don't think that's likely.

For his part, Serkis hasn't commented on 'Avengers 2' on Twitter, posting only this about 'Star Wars: Episode 7':

'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' opens on July 11, so we'll hopefully learn more as he starts making the rounds to promote that movie.

Both of these movies are due out next year with 'Avengers 2' hitting theaters on May 1, 2015 and 'Star Wars: Episode 7' opening on December 18, 2015.
