While The CW's 'Arrow' continues building toward its first season finale with this Wednesday's all-new episode "Salvation," the acclaimed DC comics drama has begun setting up a number of threads for its inevitable second season. We've heard about a number of supporting actors being upgraded to series regulars, but is the 'Arrow' universe introducing its own version of Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D.? Find out about the big role A.R.G.U.S. will play in 'Arrow' inside!

The first season of CW drama 'Arrow' will likely address the mysterious "Undertaking" and villains like Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) by the end of its first season, whether conclusively or not, but Series Producer Marc Guggenheim just dropped a big spoiler on a famous DC organization to play into upcoming 'Arrow' stories. Tweeting the tease "Coming soon to #Arrow...," Guggenheim revealed that famous DC organization "A.R.G.U.S.," a group with a similar function to Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D., will appear in upcoming episodes.

Whereas the comic version of A.R.G.U.S. stood for "Advanced Research Group Uniting Super-Humans," the powers-less world of 'Arrow' will adapt the organization as "Advanced Research Group United Support." Whether DC characters Amanda Waller or Steve Trevor will appear remains to be seen, but the organization has typically proved host to a number of DC heroes and morally dubious characters alike.

Well, what say you? Are you excited for the world of 'Arrow' to expand in coming episodes, and likely season 2? What DC aspects and characters would you like to see introduced in future 'Arrow'? Check out the group's new logo below, and give us your thoughts in the comments!
