We’ve seen Jamie Foxx’s wild getup as Electro in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2,' but what does the actor have to say about that elaborate costume and taking part in the Marvel character’s legacy? Foxx revealed some tidbits on Marc Webb's Spidey follow-up.

Plus: did the actor just drop big San Diego Comic-Con bombshell?

In an interview with Yahoo Movies, Foxx spoke adoringly of the Spider-Man franchise and seemed genuinely humbled to be included in the latest installment.

"Oh, man ― it's so much fun...The costume is great. They were very creative with it.... It's a couple hours ― a couple hours of work, but it's really so much fun. It's part of a remarkable legacy: Spider-Man. I mean, when you're growing up as a kid, you know, that's everything. So to be able to be in that is just amazing."

Foxx went on to give fanboys and girls something to look forward come July in San Diego.

"Now I'm just waiting to get to Comic-Con and see how people respond to it," Foxx said, referring to the big event in San Diego from July 17-21. "[Director] Marc Webb is a genius and Amy Pascal and everybody at Sony have just [been] so gracious to allow me to have this opportunity. So it's cool."

Two summers ago, Sony brought a decent amount of footage from ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ to Comic-Con one year prior to its release. The studio will likely want to get anticipation rolling quickly on the sequel, which they release on May 2, 2014.

In addition to Foxx, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ stars Andrew Garfield, Emma StoneShailene Woodley, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper and Paul Giamatti. Stay tuned for more updates on the film, and, come Comic-Con, we'll have all the goods coming directly from the panel!
