Ryan Reynolds is committed to eventually getting a 'Deadpool' movie made at Fox. The problem is that Fox doesn't seem nearly as convinced. Says director Tim Miller, "Ryan is ready, I am ready, the fans are more than ready, we just need that elusive green light." To help convince the studio and show them a little of their vision for the film, Miller and Reynolds collaborated on some test footage that shows the merc with a mouth in action.

The scene you see above is not the greatest quality (it looks as if it were recorded off a monitor with an iPhone) - UPDATE: We've since updated with a hi-res version - but certainly gives an idea of what the two have envisioned for 'Deadpool'. It starts with Deadpool singing along to "Hollaback Girl" and specifically the "that's my s---" line and ends with Deadpool slicing a man's head off with his katana. Not exactly family-friendly fare.

But, that's exactly what Miller and Reynolds are aiming for. Despite some of the impressive visuals in this footage, the two say they aren't asking for a very large budget, in exchange for an R-rating, which a 'Deadpool' movie most certainly needs.

Now, this footage was supposedly shot back in 2012 (which explains why Deadpool says hi to former Fox CEO Tom Rothman who left the company in September 2012) and is only making its way online now. So, if you think this will have a big impact on whether the 'Deadpool' movie will actually get made, we wouldn't get our hopes up. Whatever impact this may have had, it already happened and two years later, we still don't have a 'Deadpool' movie.

The last we heard from Reynolds, the 'Deadpool' movie is "alive and kicking, and then it’s dead as a doornail. Then it’s alive and kicking and then it’s dead..." so it's unclear right now where we fall on that spectrum. Considering we haven't heard much of an update in about a year, it's probably closer to the dead side.
