The brand new trailer for the Kevin James comedy 'Here Comes the Boom' is now online and James is finally covering the genre fans have been begging him to take on for years -- mixed martial arts.

Tired of talking to zoo animals and patrolling the local shopping mall, here Kevin James portrays a teacher working at a school suffering from severe budget cuts. When he learns that there's money in the world of MMA, he trains to become a fighter so he can earn enough to save the school.

'Here Comes the Boom' stars James, Salma Hayek and Henry Winkler. The film was directed by Frank Coraci, who helmed the comedies 'The Waterboy,' 'The Wedding Singer,' 'Click' and 'Zookeeper.'

'Boom' appears to be another harmless family comedy from James, though we're not sure what audience he's trying to go for here. Will mixed martial arts fans flock to the theater to see a shirtless Kevin James try and submit a guy twenty years younger than him? Maybe not, but parents might find it funny and take their kids... but then the notion of violence may turn some of them off to the film. Maybe they should throw a circus bear in there with him.
