‘Inside Out’ Trailer: Jump Inside the Mind of Pixar’s Latest
This year was the first year in a very long time that we didn't get a new Pixar movie, but that's okay, because 2015 will see two of them -- 'Inside Out' and 'The Good Dinosaur.' While the latter hit a couple production snags along the way, Disney and Pixar have released the first 'Inside Out' trailer with the first footage from the film.
In all honesty, half the 'Inside Out' trailer is just recycled footage from previous Pixar films that runs through the different emotions we all feel -- joy, fear, disgust, anger and sadness -- so feel free to skip ahead to the 0:51 mark to see an actual preview of the film. What's interesting about 'Inside Out,' though, is that the little girl featured is not actually the main character -- she's the setting! The new Pixar characters are personifications of the previously mentioned emotions, who live in her brain and are voiced by some well-known celebs.
From Pixar, here's the official description:
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it's no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley's main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.
We've already seen a few previews of 'Inside Out,' which will hit theaters on June 19, 2015, and the delay in Pixar releases seems it'll be well worth the wait.
