‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Season 8 Gets Diddy, Reveals Premiere Details

No, we're not kidding.  Up until now, 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' season 8 has been something of a question mark to us, with the most revealed before the October 11 premiere being that of its inspired anime teaser.  Now, the FX series has landed a guest star of A-list proportions, but when will the magnanimous "Diddy" (is that still his name?) appear?  And what shocking twist will rock Charlie Kelly's world in the premiere?

'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' season 8 has begun taking shape, and that shape is...Diddy?  Yes, the acclaimed music mogul and sometime-actor will take his next comedy turn in the eighth season of FX's indignant comedy hit, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  No details are currently available on the former rapper's role, so it remains to be seen if someone of such clout could find themselves in Paddy's Pub, or if Sean Combs could land himself in a new role altogether.

But that's not all!  Details have also emerged on the October 11 premiere, which will see some heavy reveals for the series.  Not only will Charlie finally meet his biological father, but find that his proud pappy is dating his longtime lady love The Waitress!  Fans of 'Always Sunny' know well that Frank Reynolds (Danny DeVito) has been heavily implied to be Charlie's true father, though the series has taken repeated turns to deny it.

Otherwise,we’ve only learned a few scant details of ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ season 8, though we at least know for certain that this year won’t be the last we’ve seen of ‘Sunny.'
