Got your attention, right? Well, prepare for even more darkly weird news as today FX has announced their intention to keep in business with 'Sons of Anarchy' creator Kurt Sutter by developing an original half-hour comedy 'Diva. Clown. Killer.' An intriguing concept who's title punctuation is sure to frustrate internet bloggers everywhere, the demented series may even feature some of the 'Sons of Anarchy' cast in crucial roles, but whom?

Today, FX officially announced the development of 'Diva. Clown. Killer' with longtime partner and 'Sons of Anarchy' creator Kurt Sutter, an all-new half hour comedy given a pilot commitment. Written and produced by Sutter, along with real-life wife and 'Sons' star Katey Sagal, the comedy presents as a "dark, absurd comedy about an '80s has-been rock diva, her dysfunctional son who makes his living as kid’s party clown, and of course, an assassin.”

Hurm. Sagal may take the lead role, depending on whether FX's potential order conflicts with her duties on 'Sons of Anarchy.' The same reason would prevent Sutter from actually running the series should the network pick it up, likely outsourcing to others in his stead.

“I look at ['Sons of Anarchy'] as being an intense drama, where the murder and mayhem are made palatable by absurd, dark humor,” says Sutter in the official statement. “This half-hour will be an absurd, dark comedy, where the story is fueled by murder and mayhem.”

What say you? Do you think the 'Sons of Anarchy' creator has the sensibilities for comedy, even one as absurd and dark as 'Diva. Clown. Killer.'? Tell us if your interest is peaked for Kurt Sutter's new show in the comments!
