Lady Gaga is set to bring her message of non-conformity and self-expression to 'The Simpsons' 23rd season finale this Sunday in an episode titled "Lisa Goes Gaga." And though she's wowed fans the world over with her pop vocal prowess and spectacular stage show, the international megastar was actually nervous about appearing on the longest running sitcom in American television history.

“I make music, but I don’t do voice-overs every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humor. That’s what I was trying to focus on, not putting on a character too much and really being as sincere as I could with the lines," said Gaga in an interview with EW back in August in the midst of her "Simpsons" recording session.

Though Gaga was surprisingly nervous about her spot, "Simpsons" creator Matt Goening was confident Gaga would make a big splash in Springfield. “Since the very beginning, I’ve always wanted to have on the most iconic personalities of our time, and she’s it," said Groening  With Gaga appearing in eighteen different costumes through the course of the episode, "iconic" is definitely the word.

Get on board the "Gaga Express" and check out a promo for the season finale below which airs this Sunday, May 20th at 8PM ET on FOX.
