It can sometimes seem like Legends of Tomorrow becomes a haven for the other series’ villains, and Season 3 is continuing that course. Not only is Flash baddie Grodd going to menace the Legends, but there’s good reason behind the impossible returns of Damien Darhk and Leonard Snart.

The CW offered a few new details from Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 at their TCA press tour panel, most notably that the CG, David Sobolov-voiced Grodd would appear in some capacity. It was also confirmed from Comic-Con that Neal McDonough’s Damien Darhk would return as a series regular, despite Season 2 returning the character to his own timeline, and Arrow Season 4 seemingly ending his existence for good.

As explained by Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim, Season 3’s version will emerge as the postmortem Arrow Season 4 character, though they naturally declined to say what brings him back. Just as Wentworth Miller’s Leonard Snart will be back in a mysterious capacity, despite Season 2 returning a time-removed version of that character to his proper place in history.

Elsewhere of Legends of Tomorrow Season 3, Tala Ashe will take the series regular role of 2042 computer wiz Zari Adrianna Tomaz, a renamed incarnation of DC’s Isis. Maisie Richardson-SellersVixen is also confirmed to return, despite her absence from the recent synopsis, while Billy Zane will appear in a titanic role as P.T. Barnum. Season 3 is itself set to premiere on Tuesday, October 10 after Season 4 of The Flash.

We’ll hear more in the coming weeks, but stay tuned for the latest on Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 in the meantime.
