We were excited to discover that Showtime's breakout period drama 'Masters of Sex' would return for a second season this July, rather than keep to its prior September airdate, and it seems the premium cable network keeps the stimulation coming. Check out all the punches, fornication and fame to come from the first trailer for 'Masters of Sex' season 2!

As premiered by The Hollywood Reporter and scored to the sounds of Laura Welsh's "Ghosts," the second season trailer for Showtime's 'Masters of Sex' teases plenty of drama ahead for William Masters (Michael Sheen), Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) and their supporting characters. Not only has Barton Scully (Beau Bridges) apparently gone off the radar, but Masters himself may wind up in need of work, as he lashes out at Betty (Annaleigh Ashford) and alienates Libby (Caitlin Fitzgerald). Not to mention, things don't look so good for Dr. Lilian DePaul (Julianne Nicholson).

Previously, ‘Masters of Sex’ season 2 added comedian Sarah Silverman as Betty's ex-lover Helen, along with ‘Akeelah and the Bee’ star Keke Palmer in the recurring role of the Masters’ new nanny, and ‘American Horror Story: Coven‘ star Danny Huston as Dr. Douglas Greathouse, the privileged head of a hospital’s Obstetrics Department. Despite airing with the most recent season of ‘Homeland‘ last year, ‘Masters of Sex’ moves to summer for its second season, partnering with fellow sophomore series ‘Ray Donovan‘ for a July 13 premiere.

Well, what are you waiting for? Check out our first extended look at 'Masters of Sex' season 2 above, and tell us in the comments what you want to see from Showtime's period drama in its second run!
