We’ve seen NBC’s DC Comics comedy Powerless take a number of shapes since development, and if you caught some of the early pilot trailers, you’ll barely recognize the final product. Get a look at Wayne Security in a revamped premise trailer for Powerless, ahead of a February premiere.

Our first official Powerless footage moves from the original “Retcon Insurance” premise to the men and women who design superpower protection gear for Wayne Security. We’d doubt it Bruce Wayne himself will ever put in an appearance, but something tells us we might finally know where he gets all those wonderful toys.

Ahead of a February 2 premiere, so reads the synopsis:

In a world where humanity must cope with the collateral damage of Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) begins her first day as Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that specializes in products that make defenseless bystanders feel a little safer. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her expectations far exceed those of her new boss (Alan Tudyk) and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and the realization that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero.

Firefly favorite and Rogue One star Alan Tudyk will play Del, Emily (Vanessa Hudgens)’s superior, as well as the company owner’s son, while Community alum Danny Pudi will play Teddy, Emily’s best work friend, trusted confidante and office prankster. Christina Kirk will play Jackie, superhero fan and assistant to Tudyk’s Del, along with comedian Ron Funches in an new role, and Kate Miccuci and Josh Fadem as Wendy and Marvin Harris.

Time will tell if the DC brand can really do comedy (they’ve certainly got “grim” down), but does Powerless seem worth a watch?
