Quentin Tarantino Wins Best Screenplay For ‘Django Unchained’ at the 2013 Golden Globes
How's this for a surprise? Quentin Tarantino won Best Screenplay for 'Django Unchained' at the 2013 Golden Globes.
'Twilight' star Robert Pattinson and Amanda Seyfried were on hand to present the award for Best Original Screenplay at the 2013 Golden Globes and while we hoped Quentin Tarantino might win, we weren't sure he actually had a chance. But as it turns out, he had more than a chance and won Best Screenplay at the 2013 Golden Globes.
Tarantino made his way through the crowd and hugged some fellow nominees (including David O. Russell, director of 'Silver Linings Playbook') before making his way to the stage. As he said, "This is a damn surprise and I'm happy to be surprised."
Tarantino went on thank the cast of his film and his friends who read the script and give feedback during the writing phase. He didn't name names but it was interesting to see a writer give thanks to people who really made the script work.
