Rob Zombie Will Have a Cameo in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’
With movies about aliens come lots of aliens, and with lots of aliens come lots of voiceovers. Yesterday, James Gunn revealed that none other than Rob Zombie has just finished up some voiceover recording work for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Zombie and Gunn, whose names together like that sound like some post-apocalyptic buddy cop duo, are actually longtime friends, with Zombie having lent his voice to minor characters in a number of Gunn projects, including Slither and Super. In Guardians of the Galaxy, he was the voice of the Ravager Navigator, so it sounds like that character might be back again for the sequel too. (And he wasn’t the only fun voice cameo: Nathan Fillion voiced one of the inmates of the Kyln.)
Zombie revealed the news on his Instagram:
And today James Gunn posted an Instagram of his own:
The Fitzgibbon in the first Guardians of the Galaxy was one of the doctors at the hospital in the very beginning. No telling who the Fitzgibbon will be in the sequel. Maybe one of these days Zombie will make it onscreen for a Marvel film.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is just finishing up post-production now, for a release on May 5.
