Anonymous source in The Hollywood Reporter eight days ago: The Snyder Cut of Justice League is a “pipe dream” and “there’s no way it’s ever happening.”

Zack Snyder today: “LOL nah.”

Take a look at what Snyder shared earlier today on Vero: An image of film cans labeled “JL Director’s Cut” with the caption “Is it real? Does it exist? Of course it does.”

The cans list the running time of this Justice League cut at 214 minutes; the theatrical version of Justice League — which was completed by Joss Whedon after Snyder left the film for personal reasons during production — was just 120 minutes. The Snyder Cut, then is a full hour and a half longer than the version that played in theaters. That’s a whole lotta Justice League.

This doesn’t mean the film is “done” or that you’re going to get to see it. All it means is that there’s a picture. Conceivably, this photo could be of a very rough cut of the movie from before Snyder left production, with all the same unfinished effects as we’ve heard, and would require the millions of dollars to finish that that recent Hollywood Reporter article said were a major sticking point for Warner Bros. So it’s tough to say where this leaves us. With a picture, and maybe with a little more hope?
