‘Spring Breakers’ Posters: Yup, More Bikinis

'Spring Breakers' is about to premiere at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival next month and in advance of the big premiere we have more of what 'Spring Breakers' does best: girls in bikinis. Today, five new character posters from the film introducing us to the Spring Breakers themselves - Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson among them - and, of course, wearing bikinis.

There is obviously much more to 'Spring Breakers' than just cute girls in bikinis! but that certainly has been the focus of the marketing campaign. And rightfully so. 'Spring Breakers' has some broad appeal and can crossover from being an indie that disappears quickly to a major cult hit with the right marketing campaign. And that campaign has included a lot of Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens looking cute in bikinis.

But, of course, what we're also looking forward to is James Franco's performance as Alien, the wanna-be rapper at the center of the film's crime spree. While it's easy to forget with all the artsy documentaries and Oscar-hostings and TV commercials that James Franco is a great actor, 'Spring Breakers' is set to remind us of that in a big way. (And is it a coincidence that 'Spring Breakers' opens against another James Franco film - 'Oz, the Great and Powerful' - from Disney?)

We don't mean to reduce 'Spring Breakers' to just a Girls in Bikini movie but hey, that's what we've got from the film, so we're obliged to share that with you (and don't judge anyone who's enjoying these many photos and posters). We just hope that when push comes to shove, you'll still buy a ticket for 'Spring Breakers' and appreciate the movie for more than that.
