‘Star Wars Rebels’ Season 2 Trailer Brings ‘Clone Wars’ Favorites and More

Just when you thought Star Wars had enough trailery goodness between The Force Awakens and Rogue One, in come the Rebels with even more to fan the flames. Not only does Star Wars Rebels Season 2 have a brand-new trailer and poster (already!), but they’ve brought back some old Clone Wars favorites along the way.

Yes, it seems those leftover Clone Wars stories weren’t just lost to time, as our first look at new Star Wars Rebels not only brings back Ahsoka Tano from the Season 1 finale, but also Captain Rex and his clone-y cronies, and even Hondo Ohnaka! Of course, for the diehard movie fans, there’s also the return of James Earl Jones as Darth Vader (fighting Kanan, yikes), and even Emperor Palpatine, as voiced by Sam Witwer.

Still, why stop there? Sabine gets a new hair color! A-Wings and proto B-wings! New inquisitors! Weird giant slugs, and things! Not to mention, a snazzy new poster below that shows Darth Vader looming large over the titular Rebels. There’s no official premiere date, and no sign of Sarah Michelle Gellar’s voice just yet, but there’s plenty to take in by the trailer alone.
