‘The Flash’ Hits Reverse in Midseason Finale Trailer for “The Man in the Yellow Suit”

‘The Flash’’s quick thinking may have saved the day in last night’s ‘Arrow’ crossover conclusion “The Brave and the Bold,” but Barry Allen will need more than wits or speed to reverse the threat of “The Man in the Yellow Suit.” Check out the first official look at Reverse Flash in a new midseason finale trailer for next week’s final ‘Flash’ installment of 2014!

Granted we’ve already seen a first look at Reverse Flash (or Professor Zoom, whatever!) in set photos a few months back, and we don’t yet know who’s hiding under that blurry yellow costume, but our first look at next week’s mideason finale “The Man in the Yellow Suit” paints quite a portrait of the menacing character realized in motion.

It looks as if Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) helps lead the task force charge in containing the mysterious speedster behind a forcefield, though we couldn’t help noticing an ominously-placed shot of Dr. Wells’ glasses hitting the ground. You know, the ones he doesn’t need. By that wheelchair he doesn’t use. In that future room of mysterious future-y mysteriousness. Just sayin’.

BARRY COMES FACE-TO-FACE WITH THE MAN IN THE YELLOW SUIT/AMANDA PAYS RETURNS TO THE FLASH

Barry (Grant Gustin) finds himself face-to-face with his nemesis, the man in the yellow suit, a.k.a. Reverse Flash, who killed his mother. Barry is frustrated when the Reverse Flash escapes, but Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) come up with a plan to trap him. All they need is bait, so they turn to Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays) from Mercury Labs to help.

Meanwhile, it’s Christmas at The West household and Iris (Candice Patton) is in full holiday cheer. Eddie (Rick Cosnett) gives her a surprising gift but also leaves her with a question that could change her life. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) joins the search for the man in yellow and ends up in the crossfire. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) finds Ronnie (Robbie Amell).
