‘The League’ Season 5 Picked Up by FX
You might want to start sending your prayers to Shiva now, because FX isn't getting out of 'The League' any time soon. In advance of the fantasy football comedy's fourth season finale tonight, the two-episode "A Krampus Carol" and "The Curse of Shiva," FX has opted to continue 'The League' through a fifth season. Be sure to get your picks in early, because another round of 'The League' is coming. The series wraps up its fourth year tonight with two all-new episodes, in advance of which FX has announced that 'The League' will continue on for a fifth season of 13 episodes in fall 2013.
"The League is flat-out one of the funniest shows on television," said FX Executive Vice President of Original Programming Nick Grad. "Co-creators Jeff and Jackie Schaffer have such a perfect take on the material and the show has an amazingly talented ensemble cast of stars. Another season was an easy decision and we hope to have it on our schedule for many more years to come."
'The League' season 4 has so far averaged 1.63 million viewers, 1.45 million of them adults 18-49. Incorporating additional airings, that number jumps to 2.43 million and 2.09 million adults.
