‘Thor 2′ Trailer Faces the Army of ‘The Dark World’
We've been raving about it for some time, but now the 'Thor 2' trailer that debuted during Comic-Con 2013 has finally arrived online.
Thanks to YouTube's Geek Week, which has been celebrating all things geek this past week, we're thrown back into the throngs of 'The Dark World' through new footage, including a look at a battle to come between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the warrioress Sif (Jaimie Alexander), and Malekith's (Christopher Eccleston) army of Dark Elves -- which has a hulking rock giant in its arsenal.
In 'Thor: The Dark World,' the god of thunder must face an ancient evil, the collective of Dark Elves, which seeks to hurl the universe into chaos. To defeat his enemies, Thor first reunites with Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and teams up with a past enemy in his hour of need -- Loki (Tom Hiddleston). Though, in a scene that wasn't featured in this version of the 'Thor 2' trailer from Comic-Con, the god of mischief betrays him in a major way.!
Directed by Alan Taylor, 'Thor 2' features a cast that includes, aside from the aforementioned, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins. The film is set for release this November 8.
