Who Will Be the Avengers In the Next Movie? Let’s Speculate Wildly.
The following post contains SPOILERS for Avengers: Endgame. We will tell you who is still around to be on the Avengers in Avengers 5: Risk Addiction. This is your official spoiler warning. It is not redeemable for cash.
The Avengers win in Avengers: Endgame. But their victory doesn’t come without a cost. Tony Stark is dead (single tear emoji). The Vision is a pile of robot parts. Black Widow sacrificed her life for the Soul Stone. The Hulk’s got a busted arm. Steve Rogers looks like he’s about to join the cast of a Grumpy Old Men reboot. And the Avengers’ headquarters has been leveled. In pretty much every measurable way, the Avengers no longer exist.
But if you think Marvel is going to not make another Avengers movie after Endgame becomes the biggest box-office hit in the history of the planet, I have some swamp land in the Savage Land I want to sell you. And that means it’s time for a good old fashioned recruitment drive — just like in the comics, where the Avengers are always around to protect the Earth, but the individual members vary from storyline to storyline.
So who will be the new Avengers? (Or maybe The New Avengers, if Marvel decides to call the fifth film that, after a popular comic series.) Here are our best guesses, based on the popularity of the characters, the actors’ contract status, and the fact that Disney just acquired the rights to one of the most popular Marvel characters that’s not in the MCU — yet.
