A few weeks ago, 'Arrow' fans were shocked to learn that the DC-comics adapted CW series would soon break its apparent rule of incorporating superpowers by positioning the Barry Allen incarnation of the Flash for a potential spin-off series. Now, with the 'Arrow' season 2 premiere set for October 9, executive producer Marc Guggenheim has teased the arrival of another major DC comics super.

Teasing through his Twitter "Coming to Arrow Season 2…," Guggenheim showed off a concept photo for a van marked "Metamorpho Chemical," a clear reference to DC comics superhero Metamorpho. Naturally, this isn't the first time 'Arrow' will have name-dropped or paid homage to more fantastical elements of the DC universe, but in light of the 'Flash' announcement, we have to wonder if there could be an appearance from the character himself, or perhaps even a tie-in to the Flash's apparent origins.

Apart from Metamorpho or The Flash, ‘Arrow’ season 2 will pick up on October 9 some time after the events of season 1 finale “Sacrifice,” continuing its ‘Batman Begins’-influenced storytelling with the addition of new villains Isabel Rochev (Summer Glau), Brother Blood (Kevin Alejandro) and Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White). Guest stars Colton Haynes (Roy Harper), Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak) and Manu Bennett (Slade Wilson) have all been upgraded to series regulars for the second year in Starling City.

We'll keep an eye out for more super-powered red flags from 'Arrow' season 2, but in the meantime, check out the Comic-Con sizzle reel and give us your DC picks for future 'Arrow' characters in the comments!
