Where yesterday we learned of yet another incredible guest star enrolling in 'Community' season 5, today sees our actual first look at the new season debuting in 2014. Jeff (Joel McHale) is back at Greendale in the first look at 'Community''s (potentially) final year, taking some very full measures with 'Breaking Bad' star Jonathan Banks!

Via the Huffington Post, our first look at the January 2 'Community' season 5 premiere sees Jeff in the Greendale cafeteria with new criminology professor Buzz Hickey (Banks), whom we know to have a rather extensive commitment to the series by appearing in 11 of 13 new episodes. We're not entirely sure what's brought Jeff back to Greendale, given his graduation in the season 4 finale, but then again, series creator Dan Harmon might have chosen to overrule a few of the more questionable aspects of the previous year.

In addition to 'Arrested Development' star David Cross' guest turn as Hickey's son, ‘Community’ season 5′ will also see ‘Arrested’ creator Mitch Hurwitz guesting as a popular Greendale student, ‘Breaking Bad’ creator Vince Gilligan as “a smooth-talking gold digger,” Nathan Fillion guest starring as a mysterious janitor, ‘Justified‘ star Walton Goggins guesting as another mysterious man who causes trouble for the Greendale gang, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim as associates of Dean Pelton, along with returns from Brie Larson, LeVar Burton, John Oliver’s Professor Duncan and comedian Rob Corddry as Jeff’s lawyer-rival Alan Connor. Donald Glover will exit the series after 5 episodes, the justifications of which caused a stir for the actor over Instagram.

'Community' season 5 will premiere in two parts on January 2 (Banks appearing in the latter half), so take a look at the first photos below, and give us your predictions for the Greendale Gang in the comments!
