The majority of Hannibal Season 3 press has focused on the devlish doc’s new life on the lam alongside Gillian Anderson’s Bedelia du Maurier, leaving a number of Season 2 finale “Mizumono” fates in jeopardy. Now, a gorgeous new round of photos from the season would seem to confirm the finale bloodbath survivors, but with a potential twist.

Take the above Hannibal Season 3 photos with a grain of salt for the moment, as while Will remains expectedly alive and well, Alana (Caroline Dhavernas) and Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) seem decidedly un-corpseified, neither stabbed nor gushing blood in the slightest. Hannibal might be taking the Mad Men approach, in that cast promotional photos don’t necessarily reflect their current looks (or mortality), but that’s too cruel a trick to play, no?

In addition to a dapper-looking Hannibal and Bedelia (and when are they not, really), the photos also offer a closer look at Batman v. Superman star Tao Okamoto in the role of Chiyo, an attendant to Hannibal’s literary “aunt,” Lady Murasaki.

Most recently adding Zachary Quinto and True Detective baddie Glenn Fleshler as Cordell, personal physician to Mason Verger (Joe Anderson, replacing Michael Pitt), we also know of Hannibal Season 3 that Gillian Anderson has been upgraded to series regular. The Hobbit star Richard Armitage, True Blood vet Rutina Wesley and Nina Arianda will play Red Dragon characters Francis Dolarhyde, Reba McClane and Molly, respectively, while Raul Esparza will return to the role of Dr. Frederick Chilton, and Eddie Izzard could return to the role of the late Dr. Abel Gideon as well.

The new season will pick up sometime later with Hannibal and Bedelia’s new life on the lam, also incorporating such other literary Thomas Harris figures as Hannibal novel character Inspector Rinaldo Pazzi. Hannibal Season 3 will premiere on June 4, while we’ve included the latest trailers again below. Who do you think survived the finale?
