Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Sneak Peek: Meet the Team in Five New Pilot Clips!

Exactly two weeks from today will bring the long-awaited Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘ premiere, but you won’t have to wait so long for new footage to come pouring out of ABC’s new Marvel Universe TV series. Five brand-new clips from the pilot have hit the web, offering introductions to the new ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ team we’ll soon see policing the ‘Avengers‘ universe on a weekly basis!

The first two snippets from Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ pilot (via IGN) offer up a bit of insight into Melinda May (Ming-Na), as we see her reluctance even to “drive the bus” for Coulson’s new team. As Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) notes, her combat history makes piloting a bizarre role for the veteran officer. Meanwhile, hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet) finds her Rising Tide broadcast curtly interrupted, while Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) drops by to offer her thoughts on Ward’s skills in and out of the field.

And let’s not forget the adorably bickering engineering-biochemistry duo, Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Gemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge). Oh, and did we mention the background Iron Man and Hulk cameo among the five new clips, complete with Black Widow name drop?

While we await the September 24 premiere, we know that Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ will also feature in guest roles ‘Ghost Whisperer’ vet David Conrad and ‘Luck‘ star Ian Hart, though details remain light on their scientist roles. Samuel L. Jackson previously stated that he expected to be involved with the show in some small capacity, while Tom Hiddleston and Sam Rockwell are game to reprise their Marvel Cinematic Universe roles of Loki and Justin Hammer respectively, something we’ve analyzed the likelihood of in depth.

We’ve assembled all 5 ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ clips above and below, so take a look at Marvel’s new series and tell us what you want to see from the September 24 premiere!
